Ryan Guzzo Purcell, Program Director & Performance Coach, has worked with Stand & Deliver clients including Cisco Systems, Rise Up, and The Hartford. His coaching focuses on connecting ideas to the voice, body, and emotional core so that they can be shared with passion and power.
Ryan brings to the Stand & Deliver team fifteen years as a director and theatre maker: he is the founding artistic director of The Williams Project, a theatre company dedicated to creating epic, compassionate, expertly crafted theatre while paying all artists a living wage. In his 15 years as a theatre director, his credits include Magic Theatre (where he was Associate Artistic Director), Intiman Theatre, A.C.T. San Francisco, LaMaMa ETC, and Trinity Repertory Company, among others.
Ryan is a Fulbright Scholar, A Princess Grace Foundation Honoree, and a Drama League Directing Fellow. Ryan’s teaching credits include Stanford University, Brown University, the A.C.T. MFA program, and in San Francisco Juvenile Detention. He received his M.F.A. from Brown University and his B.F.A. from Boston University.
