High Performance Communication Series

The High Performance Communication series is our foundational program. The sequence of courses comprises a consistent, rigorously tested curriculum that has been refined over the course of 12 years by our world-class faculty members. In a sequence of live, two-day programs, we use a proven structure that combines plenary learning and discussions with small-group breakout and practice sessions. The High Performance Communication series is fun, fast-paced and challenging. It disrupts old habits and opens up possibilities for producing breakthrough results in communication.

The following programs can be delivered individually or in series. (The ideal group size is 25 to 50 participants, but our intimate coach-to-participant ratio allows us to work with up to 100 participants at a time).

Art of Peak Performance

Level 1

An immersive two-day training that deepens participants’ communicative range, clarity, confidence and impact. Through interactive exercises and dynamic discussions, we will explore the three key dimensions of the art of peak performance:

Content. Organizing information into a lucid architecture of ideas with a narrative structure that opens forcefully, builds a coherent and persuasive message and closes memorably.

State. Understanding how beliefs, focus and physiology determine mindsets. Implementing professional techniques for optimizing physical and emotional state for greater confidence, passion and power in high-stakes situations.

Delivery. Applying cutting-age performance techniques for controlling voice, physicality and facial expression. Deepening range, presence and expressive power, with a focus on keeping a bond with an audience.

Each participant will put theory into practice, delivering a presentation to their peers and receiving in-depth, constructive feedback from Stand & Deliver consultants as well as roadmaps for further personal growth.

Creating Influence

Level 2

The cornerstone of a high-performing culture is its members’ ability to conduct open, honest and skillful conversations—especially with difficult issues. This two-day training offers clear, practical methods for engaging in deep, dynamic dialogue that fosters trust, resolves conflict, stimulates collaboration and drives performance. Areas of focus include:

• Building rapport and maintaining bonds during conversations.

• Strategically addressing the needs of the listener.

• Avoiding a conversational “hijack.”

• Stimulating creativity and collaboration and encouraging ideas in others.

• Storytelling: Conveying your ideas with universally appealing narrative structures that speak to the heart as well as the head.

Stickiness: Amplifying a leadership message and make it memorable through compelling images, metaphors and stories.

• Handling questions in high stakes situations

Participants will develop a shared vocabulary and a greater confidence for influencing decision makers, motivating people and conducting effective, meaningful conversations that achieve measurable results.

Leading Out Loud

Level 3

It is only through an examination of their own core beliefs and values that leaders can inspire excellence in others and achieve measurable, meaningful growth in their organizations. This is the foundational premise behind the third segment of our High Performance Communication series, which covers:

Leadership Vision: A hands-on session and powerful team-bonding experience where each participant explores what drives them as a leader and learns how they can gain greater access to their internal sources of inspiration.

Inspiring Leadership: Having explored the core values underlying each individuals’ idea of leadership, we then turn to techniques for conveying those principles in a way that cascades throughout the organization and acts as a model and motivation for others.

This training culminates with a “keynote” workshop, where participants deliver a presentation, with a Q&A session, on a topic relevant to their current work and then receive professional feedback and performance coaching from Stand & Deliver consultants.
