How to Run Better Meetings
This seminar addresses the three most common obstacles to effective, efficient meetings and offers tailored solutions (based on our assessment of your team’s meeting style and habits) for ways of running relevant, engaging meetings that bring out the best in people. We also offer tools for aligning meetings with your brand — from excitement to innovation to honesty, the salient quality of your meetings should be consistent with your organization’s values.
Leadership and Vision
This intensive seminar empowers senior executives to reconnect with their core beliefs — to overcome internal blocks in order to face external challenges with a bolder vision and a renewed confidence. Through interactive exercises, dynamic discussions, and in-depth, individualized feedback from Stand & Deliver faculty, participants will broaden their own self-awareness and enrich the voice they use to engage and influence others. This is a unique opportunity for senior-level managers to plumb the depths of their own leadership capabilities, to renew the passion and purpose behind their work, and to break through to higher levels of performance.
Media Performance
An intensive workshop covering the theory and framework of media communications followed by a hands-on practicum with individual, videotaped presentations and in-depth critiques. The workshop will help participants:
•Understand the dynamics of print, radio and television interviews.
•Strengthen a team’s ability to transform data into succinct, compelling stories that make news.
•Increase individuals’ ability to use the body, voice and eyes for optimum impact through audio and visual media.
•Develop practices for maintaining composure in the face of difficult or hostile questions.
•Understand the expectations of—and practice methods for building rapport with—reporters, interviewers and media audiences.
Each participant will present in front of the video camera, view their performance in video playback and receive in-depth critique from Stand & Deliver faculty. Feedback will focus on the on-camera effectiveness of participants’ content, state and delivery and offer action plans for continued growth. Each participant will receive an edited DVD of their presentation and critique.
Courageous Conversations
High-performing companies are distinguished not by having fewer problems, but by their ability to face those problems. In this workshop, participants will learn to overcome the tactics of avoidance and deflection. They will develop the courage and capacity to enter any difficult dialogue with a direct approach and generous spirit—without being held hostage by emotion or anxiety. Relevant techniques include: overcoming blocks that hinder dialogue, the art of deep listening and focused response, and establishing rapport to create influence.
High Performance Culture
Strong, sustainable growth depends not on individual talent but on a coherent, collaborative organizational culture that inspires peak performance. This workshop focuses on: articulating a shared language that reflects the organization’s values and objectives; defining long-term goals and behaviors for growing a high-performance culture; providing a group of high-visibility leaders with both the conceptual framework and the practical tools to ensure that high-performance behaviors cascade throughout the organization.
